Magazine editor

Hazel Reid became editor of Editing Matters at the beginning of 2010.  After a full-time career in business editing, which she now does freelance, Hazel found herself in the quite different world of book editing. Producing Editing Matters, along with a brilliant team of Rich Cutler and Rod Cuff who keep her from making too many howlers, has been a steep but most enjoyable learning curve, allowing her to virtually – and actually – meet so many interesting people. Hazel now, too, edits books – academic and non-fiction – although magazines still remain her first love.

Editing Editing Matters has given Hazel the chance to explore so many avenues and she's grateful for all the people who send her unsolicited articles or who agree to write something after a bit of gentle bullying. It's those people, and the readers, who make Editing Matters what it is.
