Freelance proofreader since 1997. I have also had extensive experience in local government administration and teaching. Recent proofreading subjects have included alcohol consumption, dementia, e-learning, anti-social behaviour, youth poverty, children with disabilities and, on a lighter note, a paperback reissue of a Bill Bryson book. Projects ranged in size from 500-word press releases to 140,000-word academic books. I can usually accept work at short notice and have never missed a deadline.
