SfEP online services
Registering for the Members' area (or re-registering if you haven't already done it)
Navigate to the Members' area login page.
Click Register for the Members' area, as shown below (circled).

You'll now be taken to the validation page shown below to create your online account.

You can register in three easy steps:
- Type your forename, surname and membership number into the boxes provided, plus the email address that you gave the SfEP for corresponding with you.
- Create a password. This must be 7 to 12 characters long and must contain at least 1 number and 1 letter. The only symbols that can be used are $ (dollar sign) and ! (exclamation point). Having confirmed your password, press Register.
- The system will now assign you a new username, which will be your membership number converted to five digits by adding leading zeros. For instance, membership number '1234' becomes the online username '01234'.

Once you've registered, you'll be able to use your new username and password to login to the Members' area.
Note: your new username and password supersede those that you may have used previously to access the Members' area. And if you forget your new ones, you'll be able to retrieve them by clicking retrieve your details on the 'Members' login' page, below the 'Login' button.
Members' area
When you arrive in the Members' area, you'll be able to:
- update your contact details
- change your password
- do a search of the membership
- pay your subscription renewal when it's due
- make donations to the Society's training funds at any time.

Making secure payments
You can now use your credit or debit card on the SfEP website to renew your subscription and make a welcome donation to the Society's training funds. Soon you'll be able to book a training course or a place at conference and buy items from the online shop.
And when you do, your transaction will be protected by Sage Pay, one of the industry leaders in secure online payment systems.
'Verified by Visa' and 'MasterCard SecureCode'
Have you already made using your card more secure by registering with the 'Verified by Visa' or 'MasterCard SecureCode' scheme? If you have, you'll be asked to enter the relevant username and password so that your SfEP transaction can be authorised.
You won't be asked for these if your card isn't registered with either of the schemes.
Your acknowledgement
When you've successfully completed your payment, an acknowledgement will be emailed to you, followed, where appropriate, by a receipt from the SfEP Office.
Our online payment system is run in partnership with Dataware, so acknowledgement emails will be sent to you from 'datawareonline.co.uk' instead of 'sfep.org.uk'. If your acknowledgement email doesn't arrive as expected, please check to see if the message from datawareonline.co.uk has been labelled as spam by your email system.
If you have any queries about your acknowledgement email, please contact the .
Even more security
Always remember to look for the padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser window when making payments over the internet. In addition, the web page on which you enter your card details should have an address beginning 'https://'. Both of these features tell you that you're connected to a secure server and that the details you're sending are safe from prying eyes.

Changing your personal details
Protecting your personal information is really important to the Society. As a result, when you change your profile details, the Society's office staff will carry out a validation process. This may take up to two working days, so please be patient!
If you need help
Please email for technical assistance with any of the Members' area features.
