'Why edit?' takedown promise

The examples in 'Why edit?' usually consist of short extracts taken from pieces of work that have been edited by SfEP members. Neither the SfEP nor its membership benefit financially from the publication of these examples on this website.

Each submission to 'Why edit?' is reviewed by a small team of volunteers who check the text for suitability and make sure it has been changed enough to hide its origins. This 'anonymisation' process is intended to avoid embarrassing the author. The altered text is always checked by at least two further members of the team before being uploaded to this site.

If you are the author or copyright owner of a work from which we have taken a brief extract and you feel that our anonymisation process has failed to disguise its origins, please contact the , giving details, and we will remove the example from the site.
