The SfEP offers its members and associates – from beginners to the most experienced – a variety of benefits, from help with finding work to discounts on books and services. Details of how to take advantage of these products and services can be found in the Members' area.
Help getting work
- Entry in the SfEP Directory of Editorial Services – for ordinary and advanced members only.
- Associates Available: advertising by associates, sent to most members and corporate subscribers of the SfEP via SfEPAnnounce.
- Job advertisements from publishers and other businesses/organisations sent to the membership via SfEPAnnounce.
- Freelance work offered between members/associates on SfEP forums.
- Suggested minimum rates of pay for freelances, to aid in negotiations.

Benefits of becoming a corporate subscriber
The Society welcomes as a corporate subscriber any organisation, large or small, that shares our aim of upholding editorial excellence.
Corporate subscribers:
- automatically receive up to 10 copies of each issue of the SfEP's magazine Editing Matters
- can advertise on SfEPAnnounce, free of charge, an unlimited number of freelance assignments or in-house positions
- pay reduced fees for SfEP training
- have discounted places at the annual conference
- can take part in networking events around the country
- can obtain SfEP outplacement support packages at a special discount.
