The SfEP offers its associates and members – from beginners to the most experienced – a variety of benefits, from help with finding work to discounts on books. They can find out how to take advantage of these products and services in the Members' area.
Help getting work
- Entry in the SfEP Directory of Editorial Services. For ordinary and advanced members only.
- Associates Available: advertising by associates, which is transmitted to most members and corporate subscribers of the SfEP via SfEPAnnounce.
- Freelance work offered between members/associates on SfEPLine.
- Suggested minimum rates of pay for freelances, to aid in negotiations.

Training

- Training vouchers for new associates to defray the cost of one SfEP course in each of their first two years in the Society, courtesy of the Dorothy Mitchell Smith Memorial Fund.

Increasing professionalism
- Opportunity to progress from being an associate to having ordinary membership. Among other things, ordinary members are entitled to take an entry in the SfEP Directory, and they can progress to advanced membership.

Benefits of becoming a corporate subscriber
The Society welcomes as a corporate subscriber any organisation, large or small, that shares our aim of upholding editorial excellence.
