Annual SfEP subscriptions and fees
The subscription year runs from 1 March to 28 February. The following are the rates for 2011/12. NB: All subscriptions are non-refundable.

If you join between 1 January and 29 February 2012, you'll pay the full 2012/13 subscription, plus the processing fee. However, you won't have to make any further payments until 1 March 2013, so getting a subscription lasting 14 months for the price of 12.
If you join between 1 September 2012 and December 2012 inclusive, you'll pay a half-year subscription of £47.50, plus the processing fee. You'll then pay the full rate at the SfEP's annual renewal on 1 March 2013.
Founder members' reduction: £5 from appropriate category.
Processing fees
Joining Everyone joining the SfEP as an associate must pay a processing fee:
The only exceptions to paying this fee are: full-time students on relevant degree or postgraduate courses, usually in publishing; and corporate subscribers.
Upgrading Everyone upgrading to ordinary or advanced membership must pay a processing fee of £35.

*An 'editorial worker' is anyone who edits and/or proofreads copy for publication, does copywriting and/or rewriting, manages or project-manages such editorial tasks, and/or is involved in teaching the skills of editorial work.
