About Nancy Duin
Nancy Duin is a freelance copywriter, content strategist, editor and trainer. Initially working for book publishers, she later expanded her repertoire to structuring, writing and editing websites on a wide range of subjects for television companies, businesses, and government agencies and departments.
Her clients have included:
- Channel 4 Television – she was an editorial consultant for almost two decades, editing and writing both print publications and websites, and editor of the Channel 4 History website for seven years
- Department for International Development – she was closely involved in the redevelopment of the DFID website, and produced an email newsletter to overseas communications staff
- Energy Saving Trust – she carried out a qualitative content audit of the EST site, trained groups of staff in Edinburgh and London, and acted as a consultant on strategy for various parts of the site.
In addition, she co-created Publishing Training Centre's 'Writing and editing for the web' course, one of the first of its kind in the UK. For the SfEP, she was the internet director for eight years and co-created and taught its 'Introduction to web editorial skills' course.
