About me

I'm an enthusiastic copy-editor specialising in history, politics, economics and anything with an international focus. I spent years as an in-house production editor for great academic publishers and have been enjoying the freelance life since 2016.

I'm also a documentary filmmaker, having presented at festivals around the world, and obviously I love to read.

Skills

Copy-editing encompasses many skills: structure, grammar, writing for the intended audience, fact-checking (I'll catch that incorrect date!). Further, I've worked on countless projects for non-native English speakers, so inferring the correct meaning and rewriting to a native standard is a key strength.

I am happy working on paper and on screen, ghostwriting, researching and generally ensuring any manuscript is up to the most rigorous academic standards. 

Editing in UK or US English is no problem, and I'm also fluent in German and conversational in Albanian.
