** PLEASE NOTE – I am currently on maternity leave as of January 2017 **
I have a background in zoology and animal behaviour and am passionate about the natural world – a passion and interest I bring to all my work. I am flexible and reliable and offer a friendly and professional service, specialising in proofreading and editing of natural history and science.
My clients range from large publishers to wildlife charities, expedition groups, students and independent authors, and I work on a variety of material, from detailed species monographs to general interest science books and field guides, as well as reports, magazines and student work.
I am also experienced at writing and editing for the web, and regularly write wildlife-related material for blogs and magazines.
Although I specialise in science, other subjects I can cover include craft (particularly crochet, knitting, sewing, jewellery making and general craft activities) and fiction (fantasy). I also have experience in translating scientific texts from Spanish and Portuguese into English.
