I am an experienced copyeditor, proofreader and development editor working in educational publishing. My areas of expertise are science and maths – in particular, A-level chemistry, GCSE science, KS3 science, primary maths and primary science. I have worked on Junior Cert and Leaving Cert books for the science syllabuses in Ireland. I have worked on 11+ materials.
I have recently started working in a new area, working on quizzes, mugs, puzzles and games for children and adults.
I gained experience in-house for 13 years, first in academic publishing, then in educational publishing, before going freelance in 2008.
I also act as freelance managing editor on 3 chemistry journals for Wiley, extending my chemistry to postgraduate level.
