Annual subscriptions and fees

Page owner: Membership director

If you join at a grade above Friend, during your first year you will pay the subscription for an Entry-Level Member. This simplifies the choice for you (choose the grade you have the skills for) and simplifies administration for us.

You are asked to renew your subscription from 1 March every year, unless 2. applies to you:

  1. If you become a member (not a Friend) between 1 September and 31 December inclusive, you pay 50% of the Entry-Level subscription, plus the processing fee. You will then be asked to renew (for a full year) on 1 March.
  2. If you become a member (not a Friend) between 1 January and 28/29 February inclusive, you pay the Entry-Level subscription, plus the processing fee. You will not be asked to renew on 1 March, but on the following 1 March, i.e. you will enjoy up to 14 months' membership for 12 months' subscription.

When you renew your subscription (on 1 March), you will be asked to pay the subscription for the grade you hold. Provisional Professional or provisional Advanced Professional Members will pay the Professional or Advanced Professional subscription. You should bear this in mind if applying to upgrade: this leaflet tells you more.

These are the annual subscriptions for individual members in 2017/18. Founder members of the SfEP receive a £5 reduction on their annual subscription.
