About the 2017 conference

The 28th SfEP conference will be held at Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire, on 16–18 September 2017.

Situated midway between Cambridge and Milton Keynes, at the edge of the historic market town of St Neots, and set in 380 acres of beautiful countryside, this purpose-built training centre offers hotel-style accommodation alongside contemporary meeting rooms.

Highlights of the programme this year include Oliver Kamm, a leader writer for The Times and writer of its 'Pedant' column, and author of Accidence Will Happen: The Non-Pedantic Guide to English, as Whitcombe lecturer; workshops and seminars on a range of topics, from using templates and styles in Word to using corpora, and from editing fiction to making the most of PerfectIt. There will also be the return of both lightning talks and live forum discussions – full summaries of these and all other sessions will be released in July.

Booking for this year's conference has now closed. Places may become available if there are any cancellations and we will open a waiting list for anyone who may have missed out but would still like to attend. Please email the conference director if you would like your name to be added to the list.
