Toronto – Wednesday 7 November 2018
This one-day mini-conference will be held at 33 Prince Arthur Avenue in Toronto, and has been organised by Janelle Bowman, Kelly Lamb and Janet MacMillan of the Toronto SfEP local group.
The international, jam-packed event has speakers from the United Kingdom (Louise Harnby), the United States (Erin Brenner and Laura Poole) and across Canada (Virginia Durksen, Jennifer Glossop, Janet MacMillan, Jeanne McKane and Adrienne Montgomerie).
This conference is a members’ benefit for SfEP members in Canada and the United States, although all SfEP members are welcome. Non-SfEP members may be added to the waiting list. The cost of attendance is CAD$150 for members and CAD$225 for non-members (with discounts for members of certain other organisations) and includes ten sessions, breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.
The programme sessions cover an array of topics, including training, editing PDFs, author–editor relations, grammar, fiction editing, work–life balance, marketing, creating a standout homepage and a Q&A discussion with all the speakers. Delegates will receive two SfEP upgrade points (those who have attended a previous SfEP conference will receive one upgrade point).
Members can register and pay via Eventbrite, using a password that is available on the main SfEP forum and the SfEP Toronto group forum.
Please note that by buying a ticket to this conference, you give the organisers permission to contact you regarding the conference. We will not pass on your details to any third party.
The organisers reserve the right to make amendments to the programme. Tickets are transferable (to SfEP members) but are non-refundable.
