Who is this course suitable for?

This course is a series of three live webinar sessions.

It is suitable for anyone who has no or little experience of marking up PDFs and who lacks confidence in finding their way round a new program.

The webinar is about the use of software rather than proofreading, so level of editorial skill or experience is not a factor.

Course description

This webinar is a series of three sessions, with exercises for participants to do on their own before and after the sessions.

The goal is to familiarise participants with the various mark-up features of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and to give them an opportunity to practise marking up PDF files.

There will be opportunities for participants to ask the tutor questions, and handouts will be available for all participants.

Attendees will need a computer with access to the internet and the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (you don’t need the full Adobe Acrobat suite).

What you should know after the course

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • use the different commenting and mark-up features of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  • work efficiently using shortcut keys
  • customise the Comment tool bar
  • filter, sort and export comments
  • write clear, short instructions.

Recorded sessions

This course is being presented live, but each session will be made available as a recording after the end of the session. All participants in a live session will have free access to the recorded session.

The recorded sessions will also be available for sale to anyone who was not able to attend the live session. Look out for announcements about availability.
