Local groups
Regional development/local groups director
The SfEP has 31 local groups, made up of both associates and members. What the groups do varies. Most meet regularly, providing opportunities for passing on knowledge and networking. In addition, they may visit local printers and other relevant venues, have speakers at their meetings and/or produce membership lists and brochures advertising their expertise to local businesses.
Businesses and organisations looking for local freelance editorial expertise can get in touch with the relevant local group co-ordinator for information and contact details.
If a group has its own pages on this website, you can visit them via the link on the group's name.

If there isn't a local group in your area and you'd be interested in setting one up, please contact the regional development/local groups director . The local group guidelines will give you an idea of what is involved in running such a group.

I've found it really useful for both support and work. When there is a surplus project, or something that doesn't suit a member, it's often emailed through to the group. I now work regularly for a leading publisher, thanks to my SfEP network.' Louise Ennis
