Mini-conference - North East England 2019

North East England – Wednesday 22 May 2019

This one-day mini-conference was organised by the North East England local group, and was held at the Royal Station Hotel, Neville St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 5DH. It was open to all SfEP members, not just those in the North East, and attendees received two SfEP upgrade points.

The programme included the following sessions:

  • Marketing your editing business – Denise Cowle
  • The Changing World of Academic Publishing (and the ripple effects on editors) – Matt Deacon
  • Ministry of (Business) Training (MO(B)T) – Melissa Middleton
  • Efficient editing: how to make the most of your fee – Hester Higton

The cost of attendance was £60 (SfEP members), £78 (SfEP corporate members) and £96 (non-members).

Registration

Attendees were able to register and pay via Eventbrite.
